I was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, and I have been drawing, and painting throughout my entire life. I have studied at Sacramento City College, and later at Sacramento State University. Although most of my work is representational art, I do enjoy creating abstract artworks from time to time. Currently my work is focused around the figure and still life.
Some of the artists whose work I really enjoy are Degas, Henri Matisse, Richard Diebenkorn, Edward Hopper, Elmer Bischoff , David Park,William H. Johnson, and Max Beckmann.
I used this blog to post sketches, drawings and paintings from the twitter #draw365 tag …these daily artworks are meant to be experimental, fun and a chance improve on my craft, and my poetry. I hope all who get opportunity to peruse through my blog enjoy my art ….
Hi. I just found your blog and thought I’d drop by and say I really like your art. I like the freshness and sense of spontaneity.

Hi
I thought I should mention that I have nominated you for an award. http://kestrelart.wordpress.com/2012/11/04/award-ceremony/. These awards are memes or mind-viruses, so as far as I am concerned please accept the award but do not feel obliged to follow its instructions unless you want to. I nominated you simply because I enjoy seeing your posts when they drop in my inbox.

Your art is so fearless! I love it. Thanks for following my blog. 🙂
Just found your blog and I love it. I can really see the influence of Degas in some of your work. He is one of my favourites too.
Thank you. I owe my fondness for pastel to Degas.
Many thanks for the follow. I hope you will visit again soon and often. You are very talented and I will enjoy seeing your work! Happy Sunday!
Cool blog. Inspires me to post more of my own drawings.
Like your blog – especially the small still life(s) – fluid line and surprisingly, colour.
Thank you for your kind words.
